Правда, как острая бритва. Стоит приложить к пальцу и слегка надавить, и наружу хлынет все, что бы ты предпочел не видеть и не ощущать: испуг, боль, отчаянье и желание зализать очередную, так не вовремя полученную рану.

Совсем не удивительно, что в его доме есть камин.
«Было бы странно, если бы его не было», - думает Белль, прежде чем ее мысли окончательно путаются, а губы припухают от почти болезненных поцелуев Голда, у которого она лежит на коленях.
Бессознательно поглаживая его длинные аристократичные пальцы, она удивляется тому, какие они холодные. И тогда предлагает: «Давай растопим камин».
«Конечно», - секунду он задерживает на ней взгляд, а затем тянется за пультом управления.
«Оу», - только и остается произнести ей.
«Знаешь, я успел оценить некоторые прелести современной цивилизации», - шутит Голд, про себя отмечая, как все же напряглась девушка.
«Решила, что щелкну пальцами и внутри вспыхнет пламя?» - ему совсем не нравится то, что он видит в глазах Белль всякий раз, когда она ждет, что он применит магию. А еще больше не нравится собственная реакция на этот ее взгляд. Паника - вот, как вернее всего назвать его старательные попытки держать все внутри себя, избегая малейшего неверного шага.
«Белль, посмотри на меня», - когда она слегка прищуривает глаза, улыбаясь, по спине мужчины проходит приятный холодок. Но не нужно обладать шестым чувством, чтобы понять, как призрачно и хрупко это мгновение.
«Люблю тебя», - за вечер Белль произносит это уже не в первый раз, но в каждый он слышит, как сильно колотится собственное сердце. Румпельштицхен сильнее обнимает свою принцессу, зарывается носом в ее пышные волосы.
«Ты знаешь, что пахнешь розами?» - маг целует ее в макушку, словно ребенка. Белль притворно обиженно дуется и тут же тянется к нему за более взрослой «порцией» поцелуя.
«Ты тоже... колешься, - она заливисто смеется и трется о его подбородок носом. Позже осторожно, чтобы не причинить боль его ноге, приподнимается. - Пожалуйста, скажи мне!..»
«Все будет хорошо, теперь все будет просто замечательно, - словно угадав ее мысли, произносит мужчина, вновь наполняя ее почти пустой бокал».
«За нас!» - выдыхает Белль, первой делая большой глоток красного полусухого.
«За нас!» - вторит ей Голд, смакуя вкус отличного вина и их маленького на двоих счастья.

«Ты солгал мне!» - голос Белль до сих пор звенит в его ушах, а слова, которые он хотел сказать ей, но так и не смог, застревают оскоминой в горле. Больше всего ему хочется, чтобы всё прекратилось в один момент, решилось само собой, не дав ему возможности выбора.
«Не бывает, так не бывает...» - золотая нить в руках ткача крепче решимости потерянного мага.
Правда, как острая бритва. Стоит приложить к пальцу и слегка надавить, и наружу хлынет все, что ты предпочел бы не видеть и не ощущать: испуг, боль, отчаянье и желание зализать очередную, так не вовремя полученную рану.
Правда - и скальпель, вскрывающий нарыв, очищающий от тяжкого груза противоречий и недомолвок.
«Белль, - Голд вздрагивает от звука приближающихся шагов и с головой накрывшего его ощущения дежавю, - почему ты вернулась?».

Glance up while strolling through parts of downtown Hong Kong and, chances are, you’ll notice the glassy black lens of a surveillance camera trained on the city’s crowded streets.
And that sight will become more common in the coming years, as the city’s police pursue an ambitious campaign to install thousands of cameras to elevate their surveillance capabilities.
Though it consistently ranks among the world’s safest big cities, police in the Asian financial hub say the new cameras are needed to fight crime – and have raised the possibility of equipping them with powerful facial recognition and artificial intelligence tools.
That’s sparked alarm among some experts who see it as taking Hong Kong one step closer to the pervasive surveillance systems of mainland China, warning of the technology’s repressive potential.
Hong Kong police had previously set a target of installing 2,000 new surveillance cameras this year, and potentially more than that each subsequent year. The force plans to eventually introduce facial recognition to these cameras, security chief Chris Tang told local media in July – adding that police could use AI in the future to track down suspects.
In a statement to CNN, the Hong Kong Police Force said it was studying how police in other countries use surveillance cameras, including how they use AI. But it’s not clear how many of the new cameras may have facial recognition capabilities, or whether there’s a timeline for when the tech will be introduced.
Tang and the Hong Kong police have repeatedly pointed to other jurisdictions, including Western democracies, that also make wide use of surveillance cameras for law enforcement. For instance, Singapore has 90,000 cameras and the United Kingdom has more than seven million, Tang told local newspaper Sing Tao Daily in June.
While some of those places, like the UK, have started using facial recognition cameras, experts say these early experiments have highlighted the need for careful regulation and privacy protections. Hong Kong police told CNN they would “comply with relevant laws” and follow strong internal guidelines – but haven’t elaborated in depth on what that would look like.

But the tariffs are coming — in full force. President Donald Trump announced Saturday that a massive 25% tariff on all goods from Mexico and most imports from Canada will go into effect Tuesday. An additional 10% tariff on Chinese goods will be enacted the same day.
Trump in a message posted on Truth Social Sunday said, “We don’t need anything they have. We have unlimited Energy, should make our own Cars, and have more Lumber than we can ever use.” But America’s supply chains are reliant on its trading partners, and even for goods that could be grown or produced exclusively in the United States, the complex web of interconnected global trade cannot easily be unwound.

So the additional costs on foreign-made goods will be paid by American importers, who typically pass those costs onto retailers, who pass them onto inflation-weary consumers. That means prices will rise — although, for most items, not immediately. Businesses’ profits will be squeezed as they bear the cost burden of the tariffs or pay to adjust their carefully constructed and at times inflexible supply chains.
That’s why stocks on Monday were set to tumble. Dow futures were more than 600 points, or 1.3% lower. S&P 500 futures sank 1.5%. and Nasdaq futures were 1.7% lower.
Globally, stocks fell, too. Major European indexes were down across the board, and Asian markets closed sharply lower. Bitcoin and other cryptos tumbled, brought down by growing fears of a recession. The US dollar rose sharply.
Energy costs surged: US crude oil rose 2.3% and natural gas spiked 7%. Despite a lower 10% tariff on Canadian electricity, natural gas and oil exports to the United States, the energy industry said it will not be able to quickly or easily find alternate sources. Diesel and jet fuel costs in particular will rise, according to Angie Gildea, the US energy sector lead at accounting firm KPMG, adding costs to all shipped goods and air travel.
